State Dairy Laboratory an initiative of Dairy Development Department was set up in 2010 with the aim of ensuring quality of milk and milk products in kerala. The lab has facilities to analyze the various microbiological and chemical parameters of milk and milk products, water and cattle feed. SDL is equipped with HPLC, GC, UV spectrophotometer, etc to conduct various chemical analysis of Milk, Milk products, water and cattle feed.
